2012 - 2013 Initiatives

• Develop a comprehensive list of priorities for comparative effectiveness research in liver and intestinal transplantation modeled on the 2009 IOM report.                    a. Timeline: 1-2 years
• Bring to completion survey of practice patterns at US transplant centers with regard to the use of hepatitis B core positive liver and kidney grafts.                              a. Timeline: 6-12 months
• Establish an education work-group and liaison with the education committee.
• Nominate colleagues for AST Achievement awards.
