Membership Benefits

The AST Membership Committee is charged with reviewing and approving all applications for membership. The committee reviews on a monthly basis and AST staff will be in touch within the next 4-6 weeks. Your application must be completed and submitted in order to be reviewed.

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline has passed in order to become a new member of the AST and attend the 2013 American Transplant Congress at the discounted registration rate.

    • Patient Education Brochures - developed to inform transplant patients of what they may expect before, during and after transplant. The brochures may be downloaded from the AST web site for free.
    • Healthy Transplant Web Site - developed to help patients learn about organ transplantation and to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Access to the T3: Timely Topics in Transplantation, an on-demand webcast series featuring topics on ATC 2011 highlights in liver, cardiothoracic and kidney transplantation, plus basic & translational science, and special topics in kidney transplantation and basic & translational science. The T3 series is free for AST members (Continuing Education Credit is available for a minimal fee per webcast).
  • All Full members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and vote on all matters brought before the general membership. International members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors as a Councilor-at-Large and may also vote on all member matters brought before the general membership.
  • Access to Ask the Expert, a free online service designed to provide answers to frequently asked questions by physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other professionals interested in learning more about transplant immunology and clinical management of organ transplant recipients.
