Women's Health COP: Initiatives

  1. Continue progress of donor gender initiative
    • Submit for publication state of the art review on donation by gender in the US over the past 2 decades, based on data collected by donor initiative subcommittee.
    • Involve 2 new junior members of WHCoP in the donor initiative project.

  2. Continue progress of older transplant recipient initiative
    • Focus on frailty and quality of life for older female transplant patients – develop an ATC proposal and podcast on this topic during the upcoming year.
    • Write a review on the aging female transplant recipient based on EMW presentation. Develop a podcast on topic of aging in female transplant recipients.

  3. Continue progress of Women’s Stakeholder’s Taskforce
    • Finalize members of the core committee
    • Initiate either conference call or retreat of core committee members
    • Develop topics for study by the committee

  4. Construct and submit proposals for symposia at ATC 2012
    • Proposals will be constructed in line with WHCoP healthcare initiatives
    • Submit proposals for podcasts Recordings
    • Proposals will be constructed in line with WHCoP healthcare initiatives

  5. Nominate colleagues for AST Achievement Awards
