What made you decide to work in transplantation?: 
The opportunity to collaborate with transplant surgeons at Rush Medical Center, when I was already an assistant professor working in cancer immunology, to test leflunomide (ARAVA®) in transplant and infection models
What do you find to be the most valuable aspect of your work?: 
Identifying questions from the clinic and developing models to address them, collaborations to develop new research directions
