Current Position:

Current Projects:
Rejection and treatment in Post Intestinal Transplant Patients:  A 5 Year Review; Developing a standard approach to transition in pediatric kidney, liver, and intestinal transplant patients at Nebraska Medicine.
What made you decide to work in transplantation?:
I have been fascinated by transplantation since I met my first pediatric post liver transplant patient in a home care setting 25 years ago.  I loved the work of the transplant coordinators I worked with and was lucky enough to get a position with the Nebraska transplant program in 1994.  I never looked back.  That child is now a kindergarten teacher with 2 children of her own.  I can’t think of anything more rewarding than being involved in patient’s lives for sometimes only hours… or weeks, but often, very often, decades of time.  I am honored to work with a great team and most incredible patients.
What do you find to be the most valuable aspect of your work?:
The relationships I have built with the children as they have grown up within our pediatric and then adult teams.
