What made you decide to work in transplantation?:
I was trained in psychiatry for medically ill patients and transplant presented many interesting clinical challenges and research opportunities for someone with this subspecialty training.
What do you find to be the most valuable aspect of your work?:
I enjoy working with patients and collaborating with a variety of other disciplines in the care of the complex, medically ill.
I have helped create an informal group of women colleagues in the transplant center who have met on a regular basis since 2004 to support each other and this has developed into a wonderful group of friends! We call ourselves the Transplanters!
