What made you decide to work in transplantation? The complexity and challenge of understanding the immune response to the allograft and the potential to contribute new knowledge that could improve outcomes for transplant recipients.
What do you find to be the most valuable aspect of your work? I find working with students and trainees very inspiring and rewarding but also love being part of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative transplant team.
Fun Fact: I was trained in classical piano but in graduate school I was the drummer in a punk rock band.
