The Distinguished Career Awards recognize clinicians and administrators with outstanding contributions to the field of transplantation. Awards are offered to highlight different levels of career.
The award recipients are recognized during the American Transplant Congress and receive a commemorative award.
Recipients are expected to attend the ATC; registration is not included as part of the AST award.
Senior clinicians or administrators with a substantial and sustained practice (generally 14 years) who have made significant contributions and be recognized as an expert in his/her field.
Mid-career clinician or administrator with 7-14 years of practice experience and show signs of a bright future ahead in transplantation; therefore, the award may be used as a device for career development.
Entry level clinician or administrator within the first seven (7) years of initial appointment and show promise of continued contributions to the field; therefore, the award may be used as a mechanism for career development.
The AST Achievement Awards nominations are open now through April 1.
SubmitIn 2025, nominations open in February and close in April. Nominees and nominators are notified of the outcome by June 1.
