Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor that the AST bestows on a member, conferred for significant contributions to the Society and to transplantation.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Nominee must have made significant contribution in transplantation science or medicine and to the AST through service in leadership positions over the course of membership.
  2. Nominee must be a Senior-Level investigator in the field of transplantation.
  3. Nominee's service to the AST will be taken into consideration during the review process.
  4. Nominee and nominator must be active members of the AST or apply for membership by the submission deadline with the expectation that membership will be active before the award review occurs. You can apply for membership here.
Award

The award recipient is recognized during the American Transplant Congress, receives a commemorative crystal award, and is provided some reimbursement for their family and friends to attend the recognition ceremony.

Recipients are expected to attend the ATC; registration is not included as part of the AST award.

  3. Nominee's number of years of AST membership
  4. Nominee's highest held leadership position within AST
  5. Letter of recommendation outlining the nominee's contributions to the society and to transplantation written by the nominator on institutional letterhead
