2017 TIRN Research Grant Applications Now Open

AST TIRN has provided research grants for fellows and junior faculty for more than 15 years. These one- or two-year grants are awarded to support the fellow or young independent investigator conducting a specific research project during the term of the grant. The goal is to support research proposals by individuals who are early in their careers and who will contribute much to the field in transplantation in the future.

Each summer, eligible applicants can apply for a Faculty Development Research Grant, a Fellowship Research Grant, or an Allied Health Professional Research Grant. Each year, AST TIRN identifies research priorities which are suggested focus areas for grant applicants. These priorities are intended to provide applicants with a set of emphasis areas that will receive special consideration by reviewers. However, it is important to note that we will still accept applications on any research topic, as we recognize the importance of innovation in areas outside of these priorities.
