The best thing of being a Transplant ID physician is assisting in the prevention, diagnostic, and therapeutic management of opportunistic infections in solid organ transplants recipients while being part of a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
If you weren't in the field of transplantation, what other profession might you have pursued?
A crime detective! I love the mystery and reward of solving cases using clues that are not apparent on first-sight or may have been missed or not thought about. The social history of patients is often the missing piece to solve the case!
