The American Society of Transplantation (AST) announced its newly elected 2023-2024 Board Members, including its new President, President-Elect, Secretary, and Councilors-at-Large. The results were announced during the 2023 AST Town Hall, on June 5, 2023.
Dr. Josh Levitsky assumed the role of AST President. Dr. Levitsky is a Professor of Medicine, Surgery, and Medical Education in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Deepali Kumar transitioned into her new role of AST Past President.
Dr. Jon Kobashigawa, of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, is now the Society's President-Elect.
Dr. Nicole Turgeon was elected as AST Secretary. Three new Councilors-at-Large were also announced. Joining the Board are Drs. John Friedewald, Matthew Cooper, and Shelley Hall.
AST Past President, Dr. John Gill, completed his term. Three Councilors-at-Large also rolled off the Board of Directors: Beau Kelly, Sean Pinney, and Linda Ohler.
