The American Society of Transplantation (AST) announced its newly elected 2024-2025 Board Members, including its new President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Councilors-at-Large. The results were announced during the 2024 AST Town Hall on June 3, 2024.
Dr. Jon Kobashigawa assumed the role of AST President. Dr. Kobashigawa is the Director of the Heart Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai Smidt Heart Institute.
Dr. Josh Levitsky, who has served the AST with distinction, has now transitioned into the role of AST Past President. His contributions and leadership will continue to guide the Society.
Dr. Dave Foley, of University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, is now the Society's President-Elect.
Dr. Jonathan Maltzman of Stanford University was elected as AST Treasurer.
Three new Councilors-at-Large were also announced. Joining the Board are Drs. Darshana Dadhania, Paolo Cravedi, and Ms. Lisa Coscia.
The AST's Past President, Dr. Deepali Kumar completed her term. Three Councilors-at-Large also rolled off the Board of Directors: Drs. Vineeta Kumar, Marie Chisholm-Burns, and Mandy Ford.
