AST Submits Statements at Recent ACOT Meeting

On Friday, March 13, AST leaders submitted comments to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation (ACOT) to support ACOT recommendation 49 to establish methods to track living donor outcomes and facilitate past living donors’ access to care. AST leaders affirmed commitment to the prioritization of education, access, and care for living donors, and clarified aspects of a recent Best Practices in Living Donation consensus conference.
