Danielle Brandman

Medical director of liver transplantation, Professor of Medicine
New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell
AST member since 2022

What inspired you to pursue a career in transplantation?
I was drawn to the field of liver transplantation by the ability to make a dramatic difference in patients' lives. The ability to work with a team makes the work even more enjoyable, as we are all able to work together toward a common goal.

Do you have any hobbies or activities that help you unwind after a long day?
I enjoy being active---whether it's a quick workout at the gym, dancing/Zumba, walking or hiking with my husband and our dog---anything that gets my heart pumping and breaking a sweat helps me clear my head.
