Transplant Surgeon
Sharing Hope SC and Gift of Life Michigan

What is the one trait you think every good transplant professional needs?
We need to be kind–to our patients, colleagues, friends, and family. It's hard as the health system becomes more institutionalized and depersonalized for professionals and patients alike and doesn't reciprocate, but it is vital for all of us.

What's a fun fact about you that might surprise your colleagues?
I haven't been great at work-life balance, but I've been trying more recently. I've taken up learning skills that have nothing to do with medicine, including blacksmithing, glass blowing, bee keeping, champagne sabrage, yoga, and fiction writing.
