WHCOP represents male and female members interested in gender-related transplant issues and supports the leadership and career advancement of women and other underrepresented communities within the transplant field.

What We’re Working on Now

Leadership and Career Advancement

Develop online and in-person programs on leadership and career advancement for women in transplant.

Care of Transgender Patients

Collaborate with the PSECOP in developing a survey to assess AST members knowledge, beliefs and practices regarding the care of transgender patients.

Gender Disparities in Transplant

Investigate gender disparities in transplant through educational activities and online programming.

ATC Travel Grants

Offer travel grants for trainees and junior faculty to attend ATC. Collaborate with TYF COP to coordinate the Medical Student and Resident Travel Grant program.
