AST announces the Transplant Visionaries Challenge at CEOT

Are you working on a project that’s innovative and exciting?  Then enter for a chance to win the AST visionaries challenge!

AST transplant visionaries are individuals or teams that have creative ideas on how to move the field forward. We are inviting all future-thinking innovators in the field to submit their ideas and win some cash. Innovations can range from basic science discovery to new clinical programs.

The AST will select up to 5 entries to compete live during the Transplant Visionaries Challenge. Finalists to participate in the live competition will be selected based on whether the project is novel, broadly applicable, and has potential for success in moving the field forward. Each finalist will present how their project/program has improved or will potentially improve innovation or measurable outcomes in the field of transplantation.  If selected, you will create a 3-5 minute video that will be shown during the live meeting to pitch your project idea.    

The Transplant Visionaries Challenge will take place on Friday, February 24th at 4:45 PM during the CEoT meeting in Scottsdale, AZ at the Westin Kierland Hotel.   You must participate in the Q&A to follow in-person.

The deadline to submit is November 1, 2022. Participants will be notified by November 30, 2022.

The audience polling will determine the rankings, with the judges as tiebreakers.   Each selected entrant will receive a monetary award.  The prize money will be awarded as follows:

1^st:  $5,000

2^nd: $2,500

3^rd:  $1,000

4^th:  $1,000

5^th:  $1,000
