The Transplant Community Advisory Council and Community Education Committee invite you to participate in our Donate Life Month community engagement efforts. Let’s come together to share our stories and celebrate the impact of donation and transplantation.
Connect with the Transplant Community in a meaningful way by sharing one video a day during April. Together, we can inspire and engage by sharing our personal stories and unique connections to the transplant journey.
How to Participate:
- Create Your Video:
- Take a 30-60 second selfie-style (vertical) video on your phone.
- Introduce yourself and share your connection to donation/transplantation.
- Answer the prompt below.
- Not into videos?
- No problem! Take a photo of your special item(s) and share a brief quote to go along with it.
- Send Your Submission:

What is one memento you own related to transplant/donation that makes you smile or means something to you?
Examples include:
- An article of clothing
- A special note or card
- Pins, jewelry, or stuffed animals (or organs!)
- A ribbon from a conference
- A photo or artwork
- Anything that holds a special memory or connection!

Why Participate?
The power of connection is pivotal in raising awareness for Power2Save and engaging with our transplant audience. By sharing your personal experience, you help strengthen the transplant community and remind everyone—patients, caregivers, living donors, and those waiting—that we are all part of this journey in different ways.
This initiative is part of the AST Strategic Plan to expand our presence and influence within the patient communities, and one of the easiest ways to do this is through personal connections and shared stories.
