Learn more about non-transplant biologics used for the treatment of inflammatory disease states, and join our expert panel for a discussion on the safety of these agents for transplant patients and best practices for when they are needed.
Background:
Over the course of the past decade there has been an increase in non-transplant biologics being developed and used for the treatment of inflammatory disease states. The safety of these agents in solid organ transplant patients is debated with risk for infections, appropriate time for initiation to avoid adverse effects, as well as how best to approach transplant immunosuppression in these patients. This timely topic will help provide guidance for the transplant clinician for best practices when these agents are needed.
