FAQs:

How do I decide whether to register early bird or apply for a travel grant?

If your program, institution, or employer will cover your registration costs, early bird at $375 is the right choice — and you save $125 compared to the standard rate. If you need funding support to attend, apply for a travel grant in July. Note that travel grant applicants who are not selected can still attend by paying an additional $375 at that time ($500 total, including the $125 application fee).

What is the difference between the general attendee and the travel grant application?

The general attendee registration does not have the same eligibility requirements that the travel grant application does. Other transplant professionals, including established faculty, residents, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, and medical students are all welcome to register under this category.

What if I register early bird and then apply for a travel grant?

Early bird registrants are not eligible to apply for a travel grant. If you register during early bird, your spot is confirmed at $375. If you'd like to be considered for a travel grant, do not register during early bird - wait and apply in July instead.

What if I am not accepted for a travel grant, can I still attendee as a general attendee?

Yes, if you are not accepted for a travel grant you can still attend as a general attendee. Travel grant applicants who are not selected can still attend by paying an additional $375 at that time ($500 total, including the $125 application fee).

Is On-Site Registration Available?

Online registration will end on Monday, 9/21. Should you need to register after this date, please visit the Fellows registration desk beginning Friday, 9/25 at 10:00 AM in the Lincolnshire Marriott conference center and an AST staff member can assist you.

Do you offer a one-day registration option?

No, we do not offer a one-day registration option. You must pay the full general attendee fee in order to attend any portion of the meeting.

Cancellation Policy

Any general attendee cancellations made on or prior to September 4, 2026 will receive a refund - less a $100 processing fee. If you cancel your general attendee registration after September 4, no refund will be issued.

The travel grant application fee is non-refundable but can be applied towards the cost of the general attendee registration fee.
