Meetings

American Transplant Congress

The American Transplant Congress (ATC) is the joint annual meeting of the AST and the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS). AST and ASTS have partnered to offer this joint meeting since 2001. The ATC is organized by a team separate from AST and ASTS staff, with input provided by AST and ASTS staff and leaders.

Goals of the ATC

  • To provide a forum for exchange of new scientific and clinical information relevant to solid organ and tissue transplantation.
  • To create an arena for the interchange of ideas regarding care and management of organ and tissue transplant recipients.
  • To facilitate discussions of the socioeconomic, ethical and regulatory issues related to solid organ and tissue transplantation.

A variety of formats are utilized to encourage the exchange of new scientific and clinical information, and to support an interchange of opinions regarding care and management issues, as well as socioeconomic, ethical, and regulatory issues relevant to organ and tissue transplantation.
