Safety FAQS:

Why is AST insisting on full COVID-19 vaccination?

After careful consideration and consultation with internal and external health and safety experts, AST has determined that 2021 Future of Transplantation can be the most robust, productive, and interactive conference possible by requiring vaccinations for entry. AST believes that a requirement for full vaccination will create a safer environment for all participants.

Are you requiring everyone to wear a mask?

In accordance with the City of Boston mask mandate, 2021 Future of Transplantation attendees will be required to wear a mask/face-covering in indoor public settings. AST is monitoring local, state, and federal health and safety guidelines and will continue to follow the CDC guidelines for all safety protocols onsite.

How is AST ensuring safety onsite?

AST is taking steps to protect the health and safety of all stakeholders participating in The Future of Transplantation Meeting. FoT will be happening in a public space and AST cannot guarantee that participants will not encounter members of the public who have not been fully vaccinated.  AST encourages all attendees participating in person to review all posted guidance and guidelines regarding travel by the CDC, and if you are coming from outside the United States, please review guidance and guidelines from the World Health Organization or your country.

How are you verifying vaccination? Do I need to bring my card?

You may be required to show your vaccination card for entry into The Future of Transplantation Meeting. Please bring your proof of vaccination to the meeting. More information to follow.
