What are the dates of CEoT?

CEoT will be held on Thursday, February 17 through Saturday, February 19, 2022. 

 

What is the time zone of CEoT 2022?

Since CEOT 2022 will be a hybrid meeting, it will be offered in Mountain Standard Time, the time zone for Scottsdale, AZ where the in-person meeting is being held.

 

Where will CEoT 2022 be held?

CEoT 2022 will be held at the Westin Kierland Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ. For more information regarding the hotel and housing, please visit us here.

 

What is the theme for this year’s CEoT meeting?

The theme for this year’s meeting is: Defining Success in Organ Transplantation: Where Do We Go from Here?

 

COVID Restrictions

Will I need to be vaccinated to attend CEoT 2022?

AST’s Health and Safety policies, including the vaccination attestation, apply to all in-person event attendees. 

All in-person event attendees must be fully vaccinated by February 2, 2022 to attend The Cutting Edge of Transplantation (“CEoT”). You may be required to provide proof of vaccination on-site at this event. By registering for the CEoT 2022, you agree to follow all posted AST vaccine policies. These policies are subject to change at any time. 

 

Will I be required to wear a face mask to attend CEoT 2022?

AST’s Health and Safety policies, including the mask/face-covering attestation, apply to all in-person event attendees. 

All in-person Cutting Edge of Transplantation 2022 event attendees will be required to wear masks/face coverings while indoors. By registering for CEoT 2022, you agree to follow all posted AST mask policies. These policies are subject to change at any time.

I’m an AST member, why am I not receiving the member rate?

Please note, AST membership renewals are now open for 2022. Your AST membership must be paid thru 2022 to receive member pricing to register for the CEoT 2022 meeting. Please allow up to 3 business days after membership payment before registering. If you have any questions about your membership, please email info@myast.org.

 

What are my options for attending CEoT 2022?

CEoT 2022 will be our first-ever hybrid meeting. If you are unable to travel, a virtual option is available for attendees.  Not sure which option to choose? We offer the flexibility to change your registration type later.

 

What is the last day to cancel and receive a refund?

To cancel your registration, a written request must be received in the AST office by January 17, 2022. Cancellation requests received by this date will be refunded less a $50 processing fee per person. There will be no refunds issued for requests received on or after the above date.

 

What if I change my mind and I’m no longer comfortable attending in-person?

All in-person attendees will automatically also be registered for the virtual option. 

 

Is there a housing block for CEoT 2022?

How long will I have access to the recorded content?

All the sessions will be available on the virtual platform 60 days after the meeting.

 

What is the STAR pre-meeting?

STAR – Sensitization in Transplantation, Assessment of Risk, a North America workgroup, is a collaborative project between ASHI and the AST. The goal of this workgroup was to establish criteria to assess the immunological status of a patient as a guide to clinical decision making for organ transplant recipients. The 2022 STAR pre-meeting will occur on Thursday, February 17th at 8:00 am.  You can register for the STAR pre-meeting as part of CEoT registration.

 

Will there be continuing education credits (CME) for CEoT 2022? If so, how many credits?

This meeting is being offered for up to 15.75 credits/contact hours.

 

Where is the application for this year’s Innovation Award?

For CEoT 2022, the Innovation Award is replaced with the Transplant Visionaries Award Challenge.

 

What is the Transplant Visionaries Award Challenge?

Are you working on a project that’s innovative and exciting?  Then enter for a chance to win the AST visionaries challenge!

 

AST transplant visionaries are individuals or teams that have creative ideas on how to move the field forward. We are inviting all future-thinking innovators in the field to submit their ideas and win some cash. Abstracts & Case Presentations

Will there be abstracts for CEOT 2022?

Abstract submission will be limited to trainees/post-doctoral fellows or young investigators within 3 years of completing their post-doctoral fellowship. During the application process, you will be asked to provide contact information for the Program Director to confirm your status in the program. All accepted abstract submitters will have the opportunity to record a presentation of their abstract and interact with meeting attendees. Submit an abstract here.

 

How will abstracts be viewed, presented, etc.?

All abstracts will be hosted on the iPosters platform. 

 

What are the case presentations at CEoT and who can apply?

The CEoT Planning Committee is looking for Fellows to present a 15-minute case at the start of each general session for the 2022 CEoT Meeting. If selected to present your case, you will receive complimentary registration to CEoT 2022 as well $1,000 in travel expenses reimbursed. Click here to apply to present a case at CEoT.
