Deadline Approaching to Submit an AST Grant Application

Monday, September 8, 2014

The American Society of Transplantation (AST) Request for Applications will close in just one week on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Please visit http://www.myast.org/grants for eligibility criteria and to start your application.

Researchers may submit applications for basic, clinical, and translational science fellowship and junior faculty grants. This year, the AST identified 15 research priorities, and encourages researchers working within those areas to submit applications for funding. However, we will still accept applications on any research topic as we recognize the importance of innovation in areas outside of these priorities. We are also accepting applications for a two-year transplant nursing grant in the amount of $10,000. This grant, being funded by the Wood-MacMillan Foundation, will be awarded for studies that focus on topics related to transplant candidate and recipient outcomes and well-being, quality of life, compliance, and aspects of transplant-related drugs that affect patient care (including dosing, side effects, pharmacokinetics, and pharmcogenetics).
