Monday, December 30, 2013

The AST recently sent letters to both the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee Chairs & Ranking Members. The letters urged for the strongest possible FY 2014 302(b) allocation for the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee within the discretionary cap established by the recently Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013 (BBA). The Labor-HHS appropriations bill impacts nearly every American through its services and programs including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and vital medical research that strengthens and preserves the health safety and security of our nation.
