AST Achievement Awards

The 2013 AST Achievement Awards Program is now closed.

The deadline for award nominations was 11:59 PM PACIFIC TIME on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012. No nominations or supplementary documents are accepted after the deadline.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  1. All nominations for the AST Achievement Awards must be completed by 11:59 PM PACIFIC TIME on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012. The submission site for the Awards Program will automatically close after the deadline. No nominations or supplementary documents will be accepted after the submission deadline.
  2. Letters of recommendation with original signatures on institutional letterhead must be uploaded to the online application. Original letters of recommendation, with original signatures on institutional letterhead, must also be mailed to the AST National Office and must be postmarked by the submission deadline.
  3. Nominators and nominees must both be members of the AST. If the nominee or nominator are not members, he/she must submit a completed membership application prior to the submission deadline. It is expected that membership will be active before the nominee is selected for an achievement award. 2013 AST membership dues (for both the nominator and the nominee) must be paid by January 1, 2013; otherwise the nomination will not be considered.
  4. PLEASE NOTE: nominees for the Transplant Advocacy Awards must NOT be members. The nominator must be an AST Committee/COP/Advisory Council or Board member.
  5. To apply for membership, please visit the AST home page, www.a-s-t.org and click on the Join AST Today link.
  6. Individuals who have received a previous AST Achievement Award within the past five years are not eligible to be nominated. NOTE: this does not apply to the Mentoring Award.
  7. Recipients of an AST Achievement Award will be recognized at the 2013 American Transplant Congress, May 18-21, 2013 in Seattle, WA. Recipients are expected to attend the ATC and must register for the congress. Registration is NOT included as part of the AST award.

The AST sponsors a variety of Achievement Awards according to faculty rank in recognition of the AST member's achievements and contributions to the field of transplantation. The AST encourages members to nominate deserving candidate for consideration.
