January 12, 2016 - AST Board of Directors Meeting Summary
The AST Board of Directors met by teleconference on January 12, 2016, and discussed the following items.
Board members reviewed and approved:
- minutes and action items from the December 7-8, 2015 in-person meeting
- pricing structure for the new Comprehensive Trainee Curriculum (CTC), expected for release in early summer
- an educational brochure developed and updated by the Transplant Pharmacy Community of Practice (Tx Pharm COP) that will be posted as a patient resource on the AST website
- two papers written by Liver and Intestinal Community of Practice (LI COP) members regarding kidney disease before and after liver transplant for submission to the American Journal of Transplantation (AJT)
- a survey developed by the Infectious Disease Community of Practice (IDCOP) that will be circulated to AST membership
- an educational document developed by the Live Donor Community of Practice (LD COP) meant to share best practices from the 2014 live kidney donation consensus conference
The Board received a recap of the AST’s APOL1 Consensus Building Meeting, held in Washington DC on December 17-18, 2015.
Board members received notification from the Transplant Diagnostics Community of Practice (TxDx COP) that the COP would be funding two travel grants for the 2016 American Transplant Congress.
