Fellows Symposium in Transplantation

"I greatly enjoyed my experience at the Fellow’s Symposium. It gave me significant exposure to the breadth of the field of transplant and helped me to truly understand the immunology behind the clinical decisions we make as transplant physicians. The smaller size of the conference helped maximize networking opportunities with leaders in the field and colleagues in a warm and collegial atmosphere. I greatly enjoyed my memorable meal-time conversations with trainees from Nephrology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Infectious Diseases, and Pharmacy, when we each critically evaluated the similarities and differences in the field of transplant within each of our respective specialties. Also, being able to play pick-up basketball games with the other fellows and the faculty members was pretty awesome too! Moving forward, I have a very strong sense of how the AST can help me build my career in transplant hepatology and I look forward to continuing to actively participate in the society. Thank you for an invaluable opportunity!" - Adam Mikolajczyk, MD, 2017 Fellows Symposium Attendee
