Celebrating National Donate Life Month!

Thank you for helping to raise awareness around organ donation every day.

Sanofi is proud to be a supporter of the transplant community as we celebrate National Donate Life Month.

The Kidney Transplant Connectors Program is a Sanofi-sponsored patient educational event that brings kidney donors and transplant recipients together to share their personal experiences and facts about transplant to inspire potential donors and recipients. The American Society of Transplantation’s Cutting Edge of Transplantation’s (CEoT) Transplant Summit took place in Phoenix from February 22-24. For the third year in a row, Takeda is proud to have been a 2024 corporate affiliate partner, where we had the chance to engage in meaningful discussions around the innovative technologies being utilized to save and improve lives through transplantation.

Takeda is actively recruiting for our clinical trial of children and adolescents (<17 years old) experiencing cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection post-transplant that will evaluate the safety, tolerability, anti-viral activity and pharmacokinetics of an investigational anti-CMV treatment. We attended The Transplantation & Cellular Therapy Meetings of ASTCT® and CIBMTR® in San Antonio from February 21-24. Saré Largay, Vice President, New Product Launch & Business Insights at Takeda, participated in a panel discussion focused on the value of philanthropic partnerships and ways to advance research, treatment access and advocacy goals through collaboration with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).

April is National Donate Life Month, which seeks to raise awareness about organ donation and encourage Americans to register as donors. During Donate Life Month and every day, Takeda remains committed to providing the resources and support needed to help empower transplant patients and care partners to have impactful conversations about CMV as well as treatment options.

Takeda is proud to provide resources for patients and caregivers living with CMV post-transplant. Knowing that it can be difficult to remember all of the questions patients and caregivers may have for their doctors, we’ve developed this Talking with your Transplant Team tool to ensure the right questions are being asked.
