The AST Institutional Support Program provides transplant centers with recognition opportunities and benefits throughout the year in exchange for a contribution of $3,000. AST members are invited to attend a town hall meeting at ATC on Monday, May 20 at 5:45 p.m. in room 2 A/B at the Washington State Convention Center. The town hall will provide a forum for open discussion between the membership and the leadership about key issues impacting the society and field of transplantation, and how the society is positioned to address those key issues. 168 Members of the U.S. House of Representatives requested to the Chairmen and Ranking members of the Full Appropriations Committee and NIH Subcommittes that NIH receives at least $32 billion for Fiscal year (FY) 2014. AST and its lobbyists successfuly assisted in securing Members of Congress to sign-on to this important letter. This letter was spearheaded by Congressmen Markey (D-MA0 and McKinley (R-WV).
