The American Society of Transplantation (AST) announced its recently elected 2020-2021 board members, including its new President, President-elect, and Treasurer, at the American Transplant Congress (ATC), which was held virtually on May 30 – June 1, 2020. We are saddened to announce the passing of Canadian nephrologist Dr. John B. Dossetor (1925 - 2020).
Dr. Dossetor was widely considered to be the father of nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation in Canada. He was also the co-founder of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. His accomplishments in the areas of transplantation and renal medical studies have been honored on national and international levels.
