The American Society of Transplantation (AST) announced its recently elected 2020-2021 board members, including its new President, President-elect, and Treasurer, at the American Transplant Congress (ATC), which was held virtually on May 30 – June 1, 2020. The AST inducted its new president, Richard Formica, MD, FAST during its annual meeting on June 1, 2020.     We are saddened to announce the passing of Canadian nephrologist Dr. John B. Dossetor (1925 - 2020). Dr. Dossetor was widely considered to be the father of nephrology, dialysis, and transplantation in Canada. He was also the co-founder of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. His accomplishments in the areas of transplantation and renal medical studies have been honored on national and international levels.
