Find Your Community: Join a COP

The AST offers a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with your colleagues through our Communities of Practice (COPs). These COPs are hubs for professionals to connect, collaborate, and share ideas within their specialties.

If you want to expand your network, engage in projects, or take on leadership or volunteer roles, consider joining a COP today!

COPs are included in AST memberships and members have access to unlimited COP memberships. Here are three reasons why you should join a COP today:

1. Expand Your Network: With AST's COPs, you can meet colleagues from across the globe who share your passion and expertise. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting in your career, having a network of peers in your specialty can provide invaluable support, insights, and opportunities for growth. COP members can chat on the COP Hub, attend annual in-person meetings, and more.

2. Collaborate: COP members can collaborate on various projects, including creating educational content, joining workgroups, and participating in mentoring programs. Together, COP members can tackle challenges, explore new ideas, and drive innovation within their specialties. Joining a COP can help you engage with like-minded professionals and make a difference in transplantation by contributing to ongoing initiatives or working on new projects.

3. Become a Leader: Joining a COP offers numerous avenues for professional growth and advancement. By actively participating in COP activities, you'll enhance your skills and knowledge and have the chance to make a meaningful impact within your specialty and the broader transplantation community. COP members can self-nominate for COP leadership positions and often use this experience as a stepping stone to Board leadership.
